desu ima sound like a huge faggot but videogamedunkey said it best when it comes to reviews: each one should be an extension of your last. A reviewer is a person and your readers should come to know your taste as a reviewer. So when he gives a good review for something people knows he would normally hate, then you know that that thing might be really good. The problem with Meltzer a reviewer is that his review range is all over the place and he presents them as the be all end all of match quality instead of just his (really inconsistent) opinion.

He doesn't. Despite the popular belief (read: E-Drone's headcanon), Dave is an objective rater. For example, the Japanese equivalent of Hogan vs Rock, which is Inoki vs Muta, was rated 3.5 stars, which is basically the same as Hogan vs Rock.
