>>16838235Plenty of mid/undercard gimmick wrestlers have been big merch movers. The attitude era had a bunch of them, take Road Dogg for example. Also look at great tag teams who sold loads of Merch, Dudleys, Hardys. More recently you could look at someone like Zack Ryder, or LA Knight for someone on the current roster who moves merch and pops fans but sits firmly in the midcard.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a lower card gimmick wrestler who is still over and moves merch but is pretty much all sauce and no potaoes. Being over and moving merch should be the default expectation across the entire card. The fact you think that anyone remotely capable of this should therefore be a main eventer and that everyone on the bottom of the card should just be complete dogshit incapable of doing anything entertaining at all just goes to showcase your low expectations more than anything else.
