I liked TNA until that first national TV episode on TNN. With Planet Jarrett getting every heel on the roster on his "side" of some never happening fucking "war." After those first few weeks they lost me.

I still watched it and liked a lot of it like Christian arriving as a main eventer, then Kurt and stuff but overall it was a mess. Made Raven a job guy, multiple ECW reunion angles, etc. Lots of dumb shit with the wrong guy going over, usually an old wwe vet vs a TNA original. Much like AEW today.

I hated TNA, the weekly PPVs produced some good stuff but it was mostly the same shit that made me stop watching WCW.
When they made it to TV I hated how they squandered so much young talent for the sake past their prime WWE guys and then later WWE guys who even failed out of WWE like Orlando Jordan. And then Hogan showed up and it became even worse.
In retrospect, they weren't that bad. Yes AEW being one of the worst promotions of all time has made a lot of older wrestling look better in comparison, but also knowing TNA would never learn or change their ways sort of makes those bad choices irrelevant. It happened and we can't go back and change it. And with that new perspective we can look at TNA for what it was instead of what it could have been. Stuff like the Jerry Lynn/Sean Waltman feud was two old fucks taking up time and not putting anyone over, but now that I have a better understanding of their history, it's actually a fun little call back to their time on the Minnesota indies. Jarrett, Christian, Angle, ultimately did not hold back AJ he eventually got the chance to shine elsewhere. I'd even go as far as to say Raven and Sabu did their best work in TNA.

I tuned in blind in 2010, the night Hogan and Bischoff showed up, remembered AJ from his tag team with Air Paris in WCW and immediately got the feeling that AJ was a massive star in TNA.

I watched TNA until he left for NJPW and never once felt AJ was held back in any way.

This TNA revival is good for the wrestling industry as a whole. Hopefully someone with serious money buys them and they can start poaching talent from AEW and WWE. I don't know why AEW never worked with them.

Because AEW was a hilariously bad partner. Kenny took their belt and paraded it around on Dynamite, Tony cut brutal heels promos against TNA, and that was pretty much it. The whole thing was massively one sided and made TNA look like chumps.

As a TNA fan, I've watched them survive everything, sometimes by the skin of their teeth, but I'm worried WWE will absorb them at some point.

One of the most egregious Dave ratings is that while he's giving everything with a finisher kick out on WWE or AEW 4 stars, he rated a very well received Jordynne vs Deonna match something like 2.5 stars.

Even last year he spread two false rumours that got boosted by aggregators, first that TNA did 500 buys for a ppv. Now he did mention it was tv buys only, but didn't bother to correct anyone that ran with the number. Second, because TNA hadn't scheduled a show six months in advance, he claimed the company was in trouble, despite this being the regular way they do things.

That's why I disagree with the OP that the people that screeched LOLTNA in the past were the edrones, now..a lot of those people who made bad faith attacks on TNA are now AEW fans and ironically complaining because of a fandom that they created that treats AEW with the same shit.
