He can't because it's physically impossible.
JD undershot the angle of the launch so his trajectory makes his midsection go way past Ivars shoulder where it should be so the entire mass of his body is driving past Ivars shoulders. He may have a good shot put record but he ain't catching 70kg with momentum with his deltoid alone.

I don't think they planned this spot with JD's legs hitting as far as the desk so it's just a bad launch and a bad location to do it in.

There's no way to know if someone broke a rib without an X-Ray, JD must've thought he just had the wind knocked out of him. If he had been concussed, which is easy to spot, they would've stopped the match

The ref couldn't be absolutely sure JD was injured, and JD probably said he was fine and wanted to continue, and since it's not a concussion, there's no obvious injure to notice, despite JD looking off the rest of the match

But gorilla had the video, the replay, the angles, they were perfectly able to see that was nasty and that JD was barely able to continue, so I blame it more on Haitch or whoever was making the calls backstage

Nigga when has it ever been protocol in a wrestling company to end a match because a guy took a nasty bump if the guy can get up and continue the match and says that he's fine? If they did that they'd have ended many more matches early, a lot of times these guys are not injured at all
