Im gonna keep saying it, they ruined Gunther the moment he started wearing suits instead of warm up jackets and his usual coat during promos and out of ring segments, the appeal of him to casuals was being a hokey 1970s heel who looked like a nazi and chops people, now he’s become a generic suit wearing heel who cuts nothing promos, Cody is already the suit guy, why make Gunther the suit guy as well? Especially when Gunther’s suits are trash on top of that

He lost all intimidation and no longer stands out

Because they took all of the prestige of the belt and gave it to the Universal. Now the Heavyweight is as important as giving a fuck about IC (outside of Honky Tonk Man era.) Everyone mostly goes after Universal as the new top making Gunther have to deal with the sloppy seconds who don't deserve the push.

Hunter fucked up by dismantling his 3 top factions at the same time, bloodline, judgement day and imperium, just because he wanted to change pace a give solo runs to everyone involved.
The fact he disbanded 3 heel factions as well means he is now in absolute need of heels and has to bring back jobbers like Nakamura to hold heel titles and make New Day a heel faction.
WWE went too fast for bookers in 2024, they thought they could do anything and get away with it but the product already feels way less impacting than a year ago.
