They also had like 0 qualms with butchering an entire city and burning it down like it never existed. They were brutal, but then would also do weird shit like spare men of science/learning if they joined them, and they were really autistic about envoys/messengers not being attacked which is what precipitated their western invasion in the first place -- Genghis just wanted to open trade with the middle east, he only invaded for revenge after the Shah murdered his envoys under peace banner.
