I try really hard not to engage in hero worship with real people alive today. I am a personality type that is drawn to that frame of mind, I went nuts over it as a kid and teen. So I just do my best to redirect it into mythological and historical figures and fiction I consider "good enough". I still think Batman is possibly the greatest hero in fiction and beats out a great number of mythological ones. Spider-Man is a close 2nd.

But irl, It's Over. We really do have to Make Our Own Heroes.
