How long has wrestling been bad for? I recently rewatched the 2009, 2010, and 2016 Royal Rumble matches and forgot how little has changed since then and it's still extremely boring. Even with Kane, Triple H, Undertaker, etc. it barely made a difference.

I stopped in 2002, but started back up around the time Kane and RVD tag teamed. I stayed through Kane's monster heel run. I think I stopped completely by the end of 04 or 05. Then I got into shoot interviews and podcasts in 2014. I've tried here and there to watch full shows from 2015+ (WWE, AEW, TNA, Jap promotions I've downloaded) and there's nothing in any of it that would make me excited like RAW/Smackdown did 98-02. Now I only watch Royal Rumbles, Wrestlemanias, and random clips.

I've enjoyed plenty of shows since then where I get just as excited week to week. But if your point is that wrestling is for children, that's a good way to look at it. It explains why everyone is more concerned with ratings and backstage happenings than the actual show.

Past Benoits death it was a slow and drawn out death. I would say that mid 2009 is where WWE died out. The company had so much talent on its roster, but Vince was completely out of touch and out of ideas.

That's why the "Vince was a genius" retcon thing going around today is so retarded, it's like everyone forgets there was well over 15 years of absolute crap that he was responsible for. The 2009 Rumble was the best out of the 3, but by 2010 it was so clear how awful the roster was. Ziggler, Kofi, Legacy, Evan Bourne, Zack Ryder, Alex Riley, etc. Everyone looked like a malnourished cartoon character.

But I just told you other TV shows gave me that same feeling of excitement. Even older wrestling shows that I never saw have sparked it too, but I chalk that up to having a foundation of its history built back when I did watch as a kid.

As a child, I watched the wrestling fake fights in the years of 2014-2017.
Then it just got boring after ziggler and that faggot mcRetardyer tag teamed... From that moment on it was downhill.
