>>16902062They reached a point in the 2000s where they had the Rumble down perfectly. There were a LOT of junk Rumbles before that where it's just faffing about with jobbers, or has some amusing spots but the early to late 2000s had a great sweet spot of having better action and numerous stories for WM weaved into it. The Rumble 2004 sets up like four WM matches, not just the winner's main event match, and it has some good pacing based around the entrants with ebbs and flows as you ought to have.
Something in the early 2010s they just lost this and by the mid 2010s Rumbles have just been a bunch of time wasting til the end, with no real thought into the booking.
