I don't get it either. Creative seems to have other plans for Punk and Reigns. Which is fine because neither of them actually needs the belt. Cena is going to face whoever he wants to face at mania, and that doesn't require him to win the rumble. If anything, Jey winning makes the most sense because they need a guy to lose to Gunther at mania, because I don't think they waste Cody's mania match on Jey Uso.

He's pushed as a main eventer because he's over, and being good in-ring has never mattered when it came to getting over. As far as WWE goes, the mainstream doesn't watch it to watch good wrestling, they watch it to watch personalities and entertainers. Having personality/being a good entertainer is what gets you over. Not if you can put on a 5-star match.

He's unwatchable though. I know you don't have to be GOOD in the ring at all, but he doesn't even have good moves for the crowd to pop for. Doesn't even have good spots. He's terrible through and through. I just do not get the allure of this guy at all. Miz sucked ass in the ring but he's still better than Jey which is actually insane to think about. And at least Miz has charisma and is gold on the mic. Jey sucks at literally everything besides getting the crowd to chant his catchphrase.

Underrated comment. Daniel Bryan did permanent damage to wrestling and i was embarassed for wrestling back then compared to what i got to watch in the attitude era. I would also add Punk did permanent damage to wrestling too with Dbry and made me completely hate the crowds
