Pretty much. Ironically they’re the smarkest of them all, typically having to justify their opinions on drawing money rather than spectacle (mark) or work rate (smark). They no longer enjoy the thing in itself and instead begin enjoying the peripheral aspects.

TBF, Jey Uso is objectively shit. His entrance is over. That's it. Live crowds LOVE to chant and dance and all that shit. But they don't really care. It's all performative because they paid out the ass to be there. You could replace him with someone else in the same role and get the same response. We saw that with LA Knight and Yeah from a year ago. It's fine to push someone like that if they have something else to keep the home viewers entertained, but Jey doesn't. If he ends up winning a world title, his reign is going to tank hard. Truth is, you can't trust the modern live crowd. They will go along with anything because most are just there to have fun.

Because those guys are dorks. But Drew McIntyre is over and he's 6'5" and jacked. And Drew is one of the top promos in WWE, far better than Jey. But Haitch hamstrings him at every turn and jobs him out. A lot of it comes down to booking. Haitch went all in with Jey and it really is a stupid decision because there are better options.

Catchphrases are for babies. They play well with a live crowd because they are willing to chant along with anything. It doesn't help home viewers, which are 99% of the audience. Jey didn't come up with Yeet either. Nick Khan bought the rights to it and gave it to Jey. It was a meme long before Jey started saying it.
