This is an amateur losing to an amateur, two guys who basically only train on the weekends a few hours a week.
There's no hubris here, just normal competition frustration.
CM Punk, on the other hand, thought "I like martial arts so I'm good enough to fight in the UFC with the best in the world". He didn't recognize that he was an amateur, he thought he was good enough to just be a professional if he did a single fight camp. And then he lost in humiliating fashion and then he did another fight camp and lost in every more humiliating fashion, in front of million of people in very publicized fights both times.
These things are not the same.
You just hate Jon Moxley. I do too, I also think he's fucking gay and shit, but c'mon.
