There have been actual studies done on this - wrestling fans lean left for the most part, MMA fans tend to lean right. It's why Hogan got booed at an event in TX while Trump gets standing ovations in NY.
As for an answer, dude I have no fucking idea. I have no clue what is so appealing about him other than he can wresle pretty well, and we know that isn't the deciding factor for WWE fans. It's something, though, and it's made him the biggest babyface since Austin (I know some will argue this but every single metric says otherwise). Financially, he absolutely is. Doesn't have the cultural impact of Austin, though.
