He's better than LA Knight and I like Knight. He's better in the ring, has more charisma and is better on the mic with a better gimmick. wasn't the end of his initial push when he went on TV and said there was no steroid problems in WWE then got popped for steroids like a month later? forget if he was made an example for the wellness thing or if it was a steroid ring investigation outside WWE but from what I remember that was basically it for him near the main event

this was in the wake of the whole Benoit thing if I recall. Kennedy went on TV interviews towing the WWE company line and then these same channels showed his footage and added how he was on steroids so it made WWE look pretty bad. Anyway that's how I remember it, there was heat on him about it.

I was a fan of his when he showed on that weird Vito in drag, literal pirate gimmick, Eddie just died era of SmackDown. Not sure what his gimmick was, to me he had a distinct 2000s almost Opie & Anthony mixed with a bootleg Stone Cold combination. I thought it was less on the nose than LA Knight and if you do his career over again 10 times, Mr. Kennedy is a main event guy long term at least 3 times. Undertaker said to him that the RAW locker room would fuck him in the ass and they did. Everyone was an asshole at that time, I remember Chris Masters made a little comeback and Triple H called him a roided up faggot in a backstage segment.

I've always said that the RA is a strange timeline. Ruthless Aggression was dead by 04-05. After that it's early dementia Vince/proto PG era. Kennedy was a bright spot then because it was so shit.
