Nobody actually knows what "workrate" is. It's a garbage meaningless term made up by IWC smarks in the '90s that means something different to everyone you ask. The only semi-consistent thing it means is doing lots of cool moves which doesn't make a good match. Pure "story" matches are also shit though because that's what leads you to boring ass coconout melodramas where there's no real match, just a bunch of run-ins and poses and finishers.

yeah you're getting it now, the goal of wrestling is to entertain people enough that they support the wrestler and pay to see them. workrate style matches are mostly consumed in the form of social media clips or on pirated streams because thats the audience they draw
