Don't deny that Tony Khan is anything but reactionary. Remember when Bischoff said Tony wasn't a "serious business man"? A few days later Tony fired 10 people out of the blue. And 3 of those 10 took him to court over unlawful firings.

Trust me, Tony saw wrestlers being released and decided he better release his problem guys now while WWE is getting all the press. That way, TK isn't seen as the "bad guy".
