I'm glad he won, but I really don't get why it took so long. He should have been made champ a long time ago and should have been a rival of Okada and Tana. He's a good worker, he's reliable and they could have used him in that role over the years.
I also don't get why they didn't just book him the way they booked Zack instead. It would have done better and made more sense. Instead they basically ran the same story twice. They could have had a nice year long storyline out of Goto chasing the belt if they had done it better.
