>>17006913>weirdo-izzy twitter.jpgIn context, you bringing it up implies that WWE wasn't familiar with Dragon Lee or Vaquer. It's acceptable to believe that Dragon Lee/Vaquer appearing in AEW accelerated WWE's timeline for signing them, but it's wild to claim they only signed BECAUSE they appeared in AEW, as if WWE can't find names on their own.
Takeshita, Bayne, Bandido, Fletcher, Taurus, Champ-Champ Purrazzo, Kamille, Komander. Lots of wrestlers appeared in AEW first as non-AEW acts who didn't sign with WWE. It's possible WWE gave some or most of them some kind of offer to sign but AEW offered a better opportunity and/or paycheck. And that's great and for many of them it's worked out incredibly well.
The part I object to is acting as if WWE needs AEW to do their scouting for them, or that none of these wrestlers had any kind of a buzz or a reputation before appearing in AEW, which is laughable. There are no cheat codes here, nobody is copying homework. This is what real competition looks like and neither side here is wholly or mostly incompetent.
