>>17008274I didn't watch any of it (or any current wrestling) until 2021 when CM Punk showed up. I knew nothing about it and honestly thought it was pretty cool at first. I guess I was one of the only casual/non-fans who was actually won over by all the hardcore stuff and random Japanese guys. But I gradually grew tired of all the modern style WWE shit they kept adding to the product and did not care for most of the people they tried to push (remember Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky feuding with Sammy Guevara?) The exact point I gave up on the weekly shows was when they signed Saraya because I hate Falling In Reverse.
I do think their average match quality is much higher now than back then. I'd rather watch Konosuke Takeshita wrestle every week than whatever the midcard was like 4 years ago but it's not worth the time commitment.
