Nah, it's completely within the realm of kayfabe. Dom has a huge inferiority complex in kayfabe, so it makes sense he would appreciate a little kid liking him.

Honestly, the kayfabe we have right now is pretty good. Keeping it real for ongoing storylines, but peeling back the curtain for everything else is a nice, happy medium.

There is no real keyfabe or kayfabe anymore, every single wrestler from the past has come out and spilled the beans in a interview or a book, there are are only remnants of it, just enough to blend enough realism into the show that people believe the characters they wrestlers are playing stretch beyond between the bells rings and "Then now .."/ "Produced by", but only true marks believe Dom is just the dude he plays on tv.
