When Dave was freaking out over All Japan Women or Pro Wrestling Guerrila matches, he never said that was the gateway to overtaking WWE. He's well aware that his perceived match quality is just one aspect of the business. He used to talk more about muscular guys having a good look, even if those type of guys often wrestled slower. He criticized Watts in WCW for being behind the times, even if match quality picked up with Watts wanting a rougher style and bringing in Williams and Gordy.
