Yes, it's a storytelling entity. WRESTLING is a storytelling entity. That's what it's always been, even at its absolute lowest bingo hall form, there is some kind of face/heel story being told in the ring.
No one is ever going to call it anything other than what it is.
It's like Cole had a stroke and his old self from the Vince days seized control of his body.

It's not the wrestling business that's insecure about it. It's always been and still only is WWE. I really hoped that was a Vince thing because it absolutely stems from him always wanting WWE to be everything but wrestling. But here we are well past his removal with the company in completely different hands and since the Netflix premiere all WWE's hammered into my head is that this shit is fake and the wrestling doesn't matter. Which if that's how they feel then why should I as a viewer give them my time?

I would have no problem accepting this if they actually told good stories and could create good moments.
