Okada is an incredibly capable guy who has no personality as a performer, stands around awkwardly, cuts goofy promos, does a John Cena type formula match and gets praised by the people who spent over a decade complaining about John Cena. Cena could at least mix it up, Okada does the exact same shit the exact same way every match. He has to be carried by someone doing as much as they can to make the Okada spots exciting.
He had no hope coming into a new market and new audience working this shitty style that took so many years in Japan to get mildly over to begin with. Worse still he went to AEW, a company with no creativity or logic or coherence.
