WWE ratings are down and AEW ratings are down again also NXT ratings are down too. What killed wrestling in 2 years?

The majority of wrestling fans have unfortunately conditioned ourselves to think that ratings like this are actually bad. Unfortunately for them, the media landscape is slowly changing. Nielsen or whatever ratings system overseas as well will have to change. The internet has essentially gutted tradtional TV ratings systems that wrestling fans constantly have defended for decades. Nobody believed that indie wrestling promotions would have a global reach but now they do. Even some of the indies now have a global reach considering the availability and accessibility of video streaming platforms like YouTube. Some indies already have begun transitioning to producing livestreams of their shows on YouTube or other platforms or even doing weekly TV shows on the platform. This is one thing that pro wrestling fans in the big name promotions unfortunately haven't got a grasp on.

AEW is starting to pick up again, but the Netflix deal really exposed how small, old, and slowly dying the WWE audience is.

Tony has the chance to win it all if he plays his cards right, but that would require getting bad influences like Chris Jericho and the Young Bucks out of his ears.

Attendance is what honestly matters to promotions in 2025. WWE so far has filled up most of the venues they've gone to with a few exceptions. TNA's filling up smaller venues but they're getting to the big leagues at a slower pace. AEW is basically taking a nosedive and had no choice but to pick smaller venues. Hell, MLW and JCW drew more people than AEW a few times.
