WON: “CM Punk has already been in talks with Tony Khan over the Nemeth lawsuit”

No.17095388 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
>Politics and legal issues make strange bedfellows of us all, as CM Punk and Tony Khan have recently discovered.
>Punk, having been named in the Nemeth lawsuit, reached out to AEW Legal on Sunday night. He was told to schedule an appointment for this week, at which point he reached out directly to Tony Khan. Khan ignored his first call, but answered after Punk sent a text with one phrase - “I’m fucking sorry”.
>Punk repeatedly apologized during the call, at one point jokingly saying he would “put over Jack Perry at any time”. Khan was reportedly amicable but told Punk to find his own legal counsel, then suggested he apologize to a several members of the AEW roster if he “honestly felt like he needed to do that.”
>We can confirm that Punk then called Hangman Adam Page and repeatedly apologized for “overreacting”, with Punk claiming he had “recently changed anxiety medication” and that had led to him “being clearer of mind”. Punk then claimed the Trump election had him “freaked out”, apparently an attempt to find common ground with the openly liberal Page. Page was amicable but said he did not accept any apology, as he felt Punk first had to apologize to The Bucks, Kenny Omega, Brandon Cutler, Christopher Daniels, and Jack Perry. The call then ended, with Punk repeatedly apologizing and saying he “really fucked this opportunity up”.
>As of today, Punk has reportedly not been in contact with any of the listed wrestlers, although that cannot be confirmed at this moment.
