Drew winning would be based.
Seff winning would be based if his opponent at WM wasn't Cody. They already feuded.
A part timer like Cena winning would usually be shit but a match against Cody would be dimes.
Punk winning would be meh.
Priest or Logan winning be disastrous and make me skip Mania.

I see this is as just XP farming for him, he's pretty much persona non grata and bit DEI in all of this but he's got no real stakes for the belt other than just being there

Well, it's not exactly best choice, thinks it would be kind of a cool match for Cody but you know he's a part timer with no real setup for this - fans wouldn't really hate it but it's lackluster even as his final Mania appearance.

I can't really see a clear path for any of them really.

Punk needs to get eliminated by Paul, lose his shot at a WM main event, feel disrespected and/or sperg, say he's getting that main event slot no matter what, align with The Rock after Cody rejects Rock's offer. Easy. And far more compelling than Cenawinslol.
Cena not getting a title shot at WM also makes his chase more compelling too.

Probably Cena but I gotta be honest Cody/Cena does nothing for me. Maybe if Cena's retirement run was actually full time, I also don't see them having him win the title this early (I don't see him getting 17 no matter what), when there's big money to made for Cena's "last shot" coming in December.

Cena will win - hopefully they'll do something more with the Rock/Cody angle to turn Cody heel before the Wrestlemania matchup. Then it's Cena v Rock by proxy with Cody as his 'champion'. You can do some lame shit where Rock comes out in the match and attacks Cena to help his champion, only to finally have Cody turn against him and have him and Cena finish out the match properly. Or something.

It's the only angel that makes the match make any sense, because otherwise it's just face v face where Cena loses to put Cody over in his final match, I guess? But Roman already put Cody over, so who cares.

Honestly, any of the other guys v Cody would suck. Punk and him have no real heat. Seth is gay and I don't want to see him and they already did that to death. No to everyone else because they don't have an angle that's as compelling when you factor in the history between Rock and Cena and Wrestlemania's prior. I GUESS Logan might actually work, simply because he's just a strait villain at this point, and the main one in the company. It's early but at least it's something. I think it would do numbers.

Night 1 is going to be Jey/Gunther, IF they even run with that as the match because I have no idea how you keep that even remotely interesting for almost two months. This isn't a Rock/Austin WM 15 situation where you knew that was going to be the main-event, but it wasn't official. WWE has came out and already announced Gunther/Jey for Mania .

I think Phil is winning, for reasons you’ve outlined. If they wanted Cena vs Cody, they could have just had him win the Rumble, and have Jey win the Chamber. Have Cena lose the Rumble AND the Chamber creates some interesting “does Cena still have it?” storylines.
