It seems we have a pattern here. AEW fans get excited for a card (and while I didn't watch last night, I have no doubt that AEW will put on a baller show each and every time), but then the ratings come out and they are largely unchanged, and generally trending downwards.
These things ain't matching. They put on great shows, but those great shows are not growing the audience. So, a safe assumption one can reach here is that the better a wrestling show is does not mean said show will get more viewers.
I know people are sick of certain storylines (:coughcough: Death Riders), but that doesn't explain everything. Just like with the Elite story before, even if the story itself is dogshit, the performers involved are top notch. You might not like the promos, but when Mox or Claudio or PAC get into the ring, they are still damn good. Something else is not clicking, and I sure hope they figure it out. Cause right now, it really seems as though they don't want to acknowledge there is a problem.
