I'm starting to think that Vince planned this all. They spent years trying to get most of these shitters on the main roster over and now they finally are. WWE simply needed to push one guy to the moon and it just happened to be Roman Reigns. HHH deserves credit as a booker but he doesn't do half of what Vince did as CEO.

Gimme a fuckin mic. Casual fans do NOT want to see serious wrestling. They don't want to take it seriously, they don't give a fuck about long-term storytelling or nuance since they can just watch an actual TV show for that and even shit like CW slop does that 100x better than WWE. They don't even care about moves. They want wrestling to be about dumb goofy shit and maybe some nostalgia for the times when wrestling was actually entertaining to anyone but autists. Currently, they're trying to appeal to both (I'm guessing down to HHH's team and Rock's team having different creative approaches but the same goal of pumping TKO stock) but make no mistake they will continue to move further into the direction that was established with that goofy Cody vs Roman match. Rock will win the creative war with his shit and HHH's approach will one hundred percent lose. HHH's goal was to retain the viewers who still stuck with them through Vince's dementia years by trying to give them what he thinks they valued. Rock is there to expand the audience and the Marvel-ification of WWE is the approach he takes and what the executives will favor.
