Ideally you're on everything, and promote your work with live performances. More platforms, bigger net, larger chances of reaching the audience.
Might sound oldfashioned, but it has never stopped working this way.
The most important thing is to write topical songs.
None of this "it's Friday and we're gonna drink and party" shit, it's the most dimeless thing on the market.
