I equate him to Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber is very talented, but people somehow dislike him because of his songs. It's not a matter of if he sings well, it's because of what the songs actually are, and the blame is not entirely on him (it's on his producers and songwriters for turning out some of the shittiest earworm songs ever that can turn people off)
