Starting Strength, 5/3/1, Westside, even the biggest retard will land on a program within 3-5 years of lifting, make gains, and if all else fails, go back to that repeatedly to get muscular again after a long layoff or injury
Most lifters other than powerlifters (stressing their joints/tendons) don't have issues in their 30s/40s. 5x5s, 10-12 rep ISOs, you're fine well into your 50s and you'll outwork all the twinks and fatsos who eat crap diets and buy cheap SARMs off Chinese websites. Full range, feet planted, control the weight, learn when to bail, get your rest. It's really not that difficult.
