i was shocked when i found out that ospreay isn't like the top guy in AEW.
apparently he's barely even in the midcard and they just keep throwing non-title matches at him? for some reason?
i really thought he was like the top babyface in AEW. only recently did i find out that the top guys are actually crippled kwabbed 50 year olds edge and dean ambrose. what the fuck? it's not even kenny either?
i mean WWE (which is all i watch but have zero hate to AEW or any other company) is hardly better in that regard but i find it to be particularly egregious here.

Here's the really long version about where AEW fucked up and why they have no top guys
>The first 4 champs were set in stone from day 1 (Jericho, Mox, Omega, Hangman) - Cody didn't want to be champ in AEW
>Bryan and Punk come in white hot in 2021
>Omega develops a series of injuries that keep him out for 2 non-consecutive years
>Bryan jobs to Hangman so he can join up with a returning Mox (this was a mistake)
>Cody leaves
>Punk does the MJF feud which is a success (at the time) at getting MJF over
>Punk has heat with Hangman over muh worker's rights, wins the title and immediately gets injured
>Mox is transitional champ
>Jericho passes the point of no return here, develops permanent go away heat
>Punk gets heat with everyone when coming back
>Brawl Out happens 30 minutes later
>Mox gets the belt again and puts over MJF
>Bryan, back in the title picture, jobs to MJF because he's too nice to say no
>9 months of MJF burying everyone who gets over while doing gay comedy skits with Adam Cole
>Punk gets fired
>Edge comes in and takes Punk's spot
>MJF gets injured and has to drop the belt to Samoa Joe
>While feuding with Hangman, Swerve miraculously gets over enough to become a main eventer when fucking no one else new can
>Joe's run takes the backseat to the Swerve/Hangman feud and Sting's retirement
>Ospreay officially signs in 2024 and decides he's a "story" guy now, declines the world title in favor of long gay feuds with his friends
>Swerve's title run takes the backseat to Bryan's retirement
>Bryan gets killed as champ by Mox and retires
>People think Darby is going to be the underdog that beats Mox but he fucks off to go climb Mount Everest instead because he's retarded
>There are no challengers for Mox that aren't already in a feud so they have to push fucking Orange Cassidy and Edge
>Swerve finally confronts Mox after the dogshit Edge match and hopefully the reign of terror ends soon
