Is wrestling actually kinda low key niche popular? If it warrants its own board and the board has relatively high activity compared to most other 4chan boards, wrestling must be liked somewhat? Like that Johnny Hungy guy from the Dark Order got a fairly popular meme for example, Undertaker and AJ is a popular meme, AEW has The Costco Guys

By numbers it's more popular than during the Attitude Era but there's so much entertainment content out there that it's nowhere near as mainstream so it has a dedicated niche that makes it plenty of money but with streamers and every two-bit media company making TV shows it just doesn't break into the consciousness of normal people very much.

It has a bigger global audience since the brand has grown + how much more people have access to social media nowadays, but it's not more popular or mainstream than the attitude era, that was its absolute peak in the USA

Read the post you shills. He says it's making more money but not as "popular" because pop culture as a thing fractured in the 2010s. You just had cable in the 90s. Today there are more ways to get content than ever before. The only things that are cultural forces are movie franchises and sports. TV had it's last great era in the earl 2010s with breaking bad,mad men,etc.
