Completely different group of folks running WWE and NXT UK. NXT UK was literally just the British wrestling scene's top promoters behind the scenes with Triple H and Shawn leading the charge. So it was all people familiar with Toni to start with

Yeah it was Jim Smallman, Sid Scala, and I want to say one or two other guys like that. It's been a minute. Basically it was incognito Progress once WWE pulled them into things and started running their shows on the network. You've got it right from the sound of what you're saying. It was a big circle jerk honestly. They thought super highly of themselves and like they were hot shit because of the WWE tag on it. Meanwhile a lot of the roster had to work a second job outside of wrestling because some of the contracts were for as little as 10k a year and they could only take WWE approved bookings. Just a complete shitshow that deserved to fail way sooner than it did

Not that anon but I'm not sure it was just that particularly. It was the day of a show and she up and left and flew herself all the way back to Australia. No one knows what happened that day or what was pitched or god knows all we know about the backstage culture now what else could've happened. Whatever it was must have been bad enough to make her feel she needed to do that though

I went to watch the video of the pie and I noticed something strange, the first pie was fine and on script, but for the second one Charlotte ordered her to walk towards her to receive it, I feel like it was totally off script, if she's a wrestler it would be logical that she would try to attack Charlotte after that lack of respect, but Toni walked slowly to receive the second one. Chelsea Green has become everyone's favorite, even though the first thing she did on the main roster was being eliminated in 5 second during the Royal Rumble, most wrestlers won't recover from that, but she just embraced it and made being annoying her entire personality. Yes and no. Tony Khan came up with the idea to do the story between her and Mariah using All About Eve as the basis to play off of. RJ City was the only one else around who had a depth of knowledge about that era of films so Tony brought him in to help with it. He did a lot for sure, it wasn't like RJ City just up and decided one day he was going to take over creative and repackage Toni Storm on his own kek
