btw this three hour Smack format finally made me realize why is sucked on Raw. Raw you come home from work and can't drink because you have to get up early the next morning. You end up constantly thinking about the time because tomorrow morning is in your head.
Now with Smack being three hours you know that you have the entire weekend to take care of things at home so you aren't stressed and can sleep in. The beer helps make you relax and the show seems to pass by at a much smoother pace. It seems really stupidly obvious to me now in retrospect. Hell the WWE could lean into that further by convincing the sponsors to amp up the alcohol and delivery ads. People are at home for three hours, they have less responsibilities the next day, and will want to feel like they are rewarding themselves after a long week of work,
