He KWABed himself mere minutes prior, doing that dumb as fuck post sharpshooter spot where he hurls himself to the floor outside. He blames Goldberg for not knowing he had to hold Brets leg during the setup of the move. But if Bret KNEW Goldberg was a shitter, why is he doing the move at all? And why didn't Bret protect himself on the back bump that he gave HIMSELF? Brets last few weeks in WWF and everything after is pure cope.

he said in interviews soon after that he didn't blame goldberg and he was going to retire soon anyway. I don't think the head injury was the biggest thing stopping him from wrestling. apparently he was considering a comeback in 2002 but then he fell off his bicycle and hit his head on a rock which lead to his stroke. for years when bret would talk about "not being able to bump or do much in the ring" I assumed he meant because of his head injury, but it seems like it was more to do with him not wanting to void his insurance policy, which is why he would do more moves on untelevised house shows in 2010

I like Bret, but he only got mad because he saw Goldberg come back in 2016.

For years, prior, he never blamed Goldberg. He blamed WCW for being a miserable place more than anything. Once Goldberg came back, he started seething at him making money wrestling, something Bret can't really do anymore.
