back then, most wrestling fans didn't get to watch a wrestling event every week, the only way to the average person gets to see one is for the promotion to be touring at your city, there was no weekly TV program to see how storylines develop

What the fuck are you talking about? Neither the Royal Rumble nor MITB cash-in existed during Bruno's era. Not only were there no PLEs, but there were not PPVs either.
