I'm an enjoyer of all things wrestling and glad there are more wrestling options available today than there have been since WCW / ECW went under.

A rising tide lifts all boats and now my favorite wrestlers have more options than ever before.

You could definitely see some up-and-comers those days and it was awesome when RoH, TNA, or MLW discovered and showcased them but it was inevitable that if they got booked well and got over, WWE would pick them up.

Now AEW and WWE are both viable choices and a few wrestlers at the top of their game are choosing to go to TNA.

Meaning less options when WWE and AEW steal anyone who gains an ounce of notoriety. It's significantly worse having two WWEs if you are a wrestling fan.

I'll meet you halfway and say that I wish TNA had more money and RoH wasn't under TK's umbrella.

I'd rather see 4 independant and legit options in the US with different niches.

I know Moose signed the longest contract in TNA history and I'm glad he's there but they could use more long term roster staples on his level who aren't going to jump ship as soon as their contracts run out.

No. Pay attention instead of repeating this talking point from 5 years ago. This is only really accurate for the women because the companies will always want younger women. Otherwise who the fuck has either company signed lately that didn't directly jump from another promotion that uses talent contracts?
People still act like it's the pandemic era and NXT and AEW are signing up every Nathan Frazer type guy on the indies. In 2025, they're mostly swapping a bunch of veterans over 35 back and forth and picking up the ones leaving the 3rd tier companies. If anything, it exposes the lack of people making a name for themselves as freelancers because there's genuinely no one new getting signed.
