Before lockdown everyone was saving up for that one big splurge on Wrestlemania, maybe 5 years from now, maybe 6 years from now, maybe 7. They were waiting. "You can always go whenever you want".
For 2-3 years, people couldn't go whenever they wanted, so when they now see something and think they wanna see it, they spend the money right the fuck now. "No you can't go later, they might take it away again".
That's why attendance records are being set.
That's why the gate draws in so fucking much money.
That's why so many people are spending thousands to see wrestling.
The business isn't hot. All events are hot. Wrestling isn't hotter than before covid, you can see that on social media, its no bigger now than then.
More people are spending money on it, before they can't anymore. That's all that's changed, and by this time 3 years from now they'll stop doing that (because they're broke) and "the business collapses". Netflix ratings will be the same though. Ain't growing.
