I wasn’t during the Attitude Era because I was mostly in middle school then and it wasn’t uncool to like wrestling. Wrestling was pretty uncool by the time I was in high school though and yes, at that point I did lie about still watching it. I wouldn’t do it today but I don’t blame a teenage me for watching the Billy & Chuck angle and Katie Vick and deciding it would be best to keep my fandom on the dl. I did stop watching entirely by the time I went off to college, so fall of 2007.

I told work colleagues, friends and family about how watching a Lucha Libra show in Mexico City was one of the highlights of my (actually pretty great overall, would recommend) trip. Definitely didn’t sense any judgement, most people said they could imagine that being a cool experience.

I wasn't till the end of the attitude era but i also stopped watching then
back then it was cool to like wrestling and even at work guys had Stone Cold shirts, DX and NWO shirts
Then it started to become lame and gay and by the PG era anyone i knew that did watch it stopped or if they did they didn't talk about it or advertise it.
I watch a little bit now but no one knows I do.
The few people i do know who still watch WWE are mainly old boomers that are older then me

I stopped watching wrestling after the invasion angle. After ECW and WCW died, it wasn't the same.
I only came back to wrestling because of Jade Cargill catching my eye and bringing me to AEW. Which no matter how much you deny it, is the reason there is a wrestling boom happening. But in time span, the attitude era would be ending by now.
