I think the real reason why Triple H gives significant pushes to ex-AEW guys like Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Jade Cargill, Penta etc. is just a way for him to get one over on Tony Khan as well as show TK what he's missing out on
Vince McMahon would've done right by not giving them significant pushes (aka treating them like total jobbers) while making an exception for Cody Rhodes as he was always a WWE guy at heart and would've been given a significant push, only Reigns would've remained the top star under Vince.
