because a real superstar would be fighting creative for his Night 2 main event spot vs Cody Rhodes, not sit there and be content with Gunther

a real superstar wouldn't be sitting there doing nothing to fight creative over getting forced out of his Mania 41 night 2 main event spot, otherwise John Cena wouldn't be granted the spot vs Cody Rhodes.

Jey should've learned how to stand up for himself backstage and strong-arm creative into giving him a confirmed Night 2 main event spot vs Cody, even if Jey has to be the one to turn heel and join forces with The Rock to do so.
But nah, Jey caved into the IWC (knowing they hate him), and decided he'd rather have a lackadaisacal attitude to main eventing and fuck Jaida Parker's pussy in his spare time than take himself seriously as a singles superstar.

both of the usos are still trapped in that mindset, if you watched smackdown this week jimmy called the US belt "the US tag team titles"
it's for the best really, that's where they belong, but it does show neither has really escaped that frame of thought

there is NO WORLD in which jey uso is main eventing night 2 over their top babyface vs a heel john cena with the backing of the rock. it would never happen.
he would have had to have been in a different position entirely, a completely different trajectory to do that. there was not a single point in the lead up to the rumble where it could have gone any other way.
maybe if he fights for it, he could main event night 1, but a night 2 main event vs gunther was never even a possibility.
