Whoever in the writing room liked his stupid shit was probably the problem. Bray spent the last few years of his like cryptically acting like a petulant child in tweets and interviews, hinting that his "vision" wasn't being presented properly. He couldn't have thought that asinine shit if the writing room/merch team weren't egging him on about how big his "appeal" was. All the Fiend was ever good for was selling merch to the same white trash who buy NoFear/Monster/Korn t-shirts/bumper stickers, and that's not exactly a hard nut to crack, nor something you want to base a whole wrestling career on.

Alexa could have gotten over with her own spooky gimmick because the abovementioned white trash demographic was all about her. None of the other people should have ever been anywhere near the gimmick. I have no idea why WWE just won't let Nikki Cross be a normal female wrestler or fire her ass. She's been on bad gimmick roulette for years now.
