>>17292413Because the curse of being exceptional is that you're constantly dealing with unexceptional people, and unexceptional people are fucking exhausting. Most people will be replaced by AI inside of two decades, most people don't matter, and most people can never be satisfied, they can never get enough of what they want, mostly because they don't even know what they want. Most people don't do much, other than create problems for others to solve. Most people are, at the end of the day, little more than animals; no greater calling, no higher purpose, no moral compass beyond "move toward pleasure, move away from pain."
If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you're probably most people. John Cena is an exceptionally disciplined and driven individual. For 20+ years he has pandered to the lowest common denominator, he has performed for them, inspired them, and for some, personally provided respite for their children in what can only be described as the worst of times. And for that, these people have rewarded him by treating him like a clown.
But those times are over. Now? Now he's done pretending "le WWE universe" ever mattered, done pretending any force on earth will stop them from happily handing over their money, just to see what he'll do next, done pretending that he's not going to win at 'Mania, because he deserves to win at 'Mania, done pretending Cody's story ends any other way than falling before a Super Cena unfettered. Their time is up, his time is now.
And I gotta tell ya, I'm here for it.
