[Sad news]
Masa Takanahashi (42) is feared to have sustained a cervical spine injury after being left unable to move following a double underhook piledriver from Chris Brookes (32).
He was stretchered out and rushed to the hospital.
According to some people who watched the game, he may have suffered a concussion from an avalanche move (top rope move) and was unable to properly protect himself during the piledriver.
>According to ringside doctor Ryoji Kanemura, who provided emergency treatment, Takanashi was conscious but reported numbness in his upper body and an inability to move his lower body, indicating a high possibility of a cervical spine injury.
>Regarding the severity of the injury, he stated, "We won't know for sure until he gets to the hospital, undergoes an MR, and we analyze the images. It could be just a fracture, a complete break or possibly nerve involvement. The course of treatment and his return will depend on that."
