>The fact that so many marks still name WWE as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" promotion ever only tells you how far professional wrestling still is from becoming a serious art. King's Road critics have long recognized that the greatest wrestlers of all time are Kawada and Kobashi, who were not the most famous or richest or biggest draws of their times, let alone of all time. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Misawa over classical professional wrestlers who were highly popular in stadiums around America. Professional wrestling critics, instead, are still blinded by commercial success. WWE sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Puroresu critics grow up watching a lot of of the past Korakuen matches, classical critics grow up watching a lot of the house shows of the past. Wrestling critics are often totally ignorant of the wrestling of the past, they barely know the best sellers.
