It was around this time that NJPW became easy to watch live for the first time, so you didn't have to wait to see matches you'd already know the results of. The big indie boom with ROH and PWG was happening at this point, you could also watch Dragon Gate PPVs live, and it had generally become easy to watch any notable promotion from anywhere in the world. And EVERY single one of them takes diarrhea dumps on WWE's god awful dog shit product that's aimed at room temperature IQ retards and children. And then AEW was formed and scooped up 90% of the most talented guys on the planet to become the place where the best wrestle.
So, no shit it's better than WWE. Everything is.
