I think I remember that Mania weekend was when the merger into TKO got announced. Iirc it got talked about at the press conference after the show.
Vince was back by this time, but supposedly just to guide the company into TKO. I think after that he got more involved in the creative process. There was an article around this time that Ari told him to stay out of WWE creative.
