>>17329833>felt like a true alternative promotion to WWE what went wrong? howWhen they flooded their roster with Exfed shitters who were there for a paycheck, to cause issues, not work, and subsequently go back to the Fed as soon as they could.
Hiring people like Arn Anderson, Andrade, Shawn Spears, Punk, Miro, Mark Henry, Malakai Black, etc, people who just took it as a payday with no intention of elevating the company was borderline retarded. Tony also made the insane decision to hired Mike Mansury - a guy literally trained in WWEs production style under Kevin Dunn - to produce his show and all it resulted in was the filming going from unique wide shots to always close ups and missed angles, and more importantly, it started to look like Diet Coke WWE. 2022 was disastrous for AEW and not so much because of the booking and injuries but because it's when the roster bloat and backstage dynamic was completely fucked beyond recognition. The roster that kept Brodie Lee's health condition secret is not the same roster that runs to the dirt sheets every 5 minutes, or airs personal grievances on podcasts. This has completely fucked the perception of AEW.
