Maybe. I think part of the reason WWE is being nice to them is to win enough people over for the eventual buy-out negotiations. I could totally see Tony dropping big money on TNA just to try and slap an AEW label on its history and call it his own.

No, the simple fact of the matter is Vince is a great businessman and his wife is smarter than he is, in that regard. They also do not give a shit who they have to step over to be successful. It didn't hurt that Vince Sr paved the way for him. Vince may be a cunt but he's an opportunist and he knew to strike when iron was hot. He was also extremely lucky with having incredible talent he could poach or hire during a time when wrestling was at it's peak.
